Marley & Me shoots to the top of the US box office as we prepare to clear the brandcameo standings for 2009. Ford secured the top spot for 2008, despite its absence from this week’s leading film. Apple closed the year in second place, and starts 2009 with one brandcameo as Jenny Grogan’s laptop on which she writes her articles for The Palm Beach Post. This warm family film also launches Banana Republic, First Response, IKEA, The Palm Beach Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, South Florida Sun-Sentinel and Whirlpool into the brandcameo rankings.
Given next week’s light release schedule, we are keeping a close watch on Marley & Me to take the top box office prize again and further denying (or merely delaying) Ford’s entrance into the 2009’s rankings.
